Here attached is the letter from OPM to the Speaker of the House urging Congress to consider and act favorably on these proposed increses to your retirement contributions. Read for yourself what they want to increase and take away from you and oter Federal workers. This is being proposed by OPM Director Dr. Jeff T. H. Pon. He believes that the proposals will bring your retirement costs and benefits "more in line with the private sector"?? Who is he to cast his opinion on to the Members of this Union and other Federal employees?? You have paid or are paying your share and deserve every bit of what you paid into!! You get what YOU paid for regardless of what other employees in the private sector pay and recieve. Pon was appointed Director in March of this year. Pon earned his Doctorate in Philosophy (PHD in Industrial Organizational Psychology). Somehow he is now qualified to judge the economics of the countrys retiree system??
